Pretty good courses, all 4 of them. Great greens. Great layouts. Dye course is the toughest course I ever played anywhere. It's because if you are a long ball hitter off the tee, all kinds of problems come in to play (280-310) from the white....recommend blue or further back tees if long ball hitter so the dog legs and trouble doesn't come in to play off the tee as much...impressive club houses. Great service. These courses are up there in the top 15-20 in Myrtle Beach area for sure.

Great golf spot. Place runs like a golf machine. We played all 4 courses. Each offered their own unique challenges, but overall forgiving. The breakfast buffet is horrible.... avoid getting as part of a golf package. Lunch was really good. Each day, we had drinks and lunch, after the first round, sitting on the large deck. Would definitely rebook a golf package with Barefoot.

Stayed and played with a package last week March 20-25th. This review is mainly about golf, the accommodations were great. All four courses were in great shape... absolutely perfect Condition. Pace of play was good while courses were not too busy. Played 36 every day except for rained out Thursday and didn't have problem scheduling a reasonable priced replay round. Guys in pro shop were outstanding and should be commended for their customer service. Starters, Rangers, beverage cart girls, and bag drop staff were all great and deserve recognition as well. Shuttle driver was amazing, as he helped me with an issue with my truck.... above and beyond. My only issue was with the driving range Staff. Two guys in particular acted like the balls were made of Gold. Very rude when I attempted to purchase a second bucket and then proceeded to tell me "range balls not allowed at short game area". I wouldn't have bought a second bucket had I known that. Guy needs a serious attitude adjustment considering he has a coveted retirement job. Five star resort and experience otherwise. Highly recommend.

I called the course on Dec 1, 2023 to book tee times for 8 guys on 2/8/24 on the Norman Course. We were quoted a price of $84 per person for a 10:04/10:13 start time. When we arrived they said they could not honor that price and the cost was now $120 per person! We decided to leave and play someplace else. JUST BE AWARE AND MAKE SURE YOU GET THE NAME OF THE PERSON YOU BOOK WITH OR YOU MAY BE IN FOR A SURPRISE WHEN YOU ARRIVE. UPDATE 2/15/24- I spoke with Dave at Barefoot and we were able to resolve the situation to my satisfaction.

Barefoot Resort & Golf offers four championship courses designed by Pete Dye, Greg Norman, Davis Love, and Tom Fazio. After playing all four, the Dye Course is by far the best as you would expect from Pete Dye. It presents the most challenging and intimidating shots compared to the other three. All the greens are fast and small, so deadly accuracy with irons is required. If I had to rank the four courses, the list would be Dye, Norman, Fazio, and Love. Holes 10 and 11 at Norman are brilliant design along with 10 and 18 at Dye. Overall, the play package is definitely worth it.
